Rider Share Value Plummets

Riderville (SBP) — With quarterly reports of victories coming in much lower than expected, the value of Rider Shares have plummeted to an all time low. The rapid decline in the value has sent shareholders scrambling to decide what to do with the shares.

“Oh my God! This is terrible!” said Rider fan Shawn Smith, “I bought the shares years ago in hopes that I could retire on them. Now, just like all the other stocks in the world, they are worth much less than they are now.

“I am absolutely terrified for my financial future!”

During the first half of the fiscal season, alarm bells were sounded after a 1-7 start. This was caused by the Rider offensive and defensive sectors performing poorly. Once the middle management was changed, there was an immediate bounce back and the Riders started performing as per previous expectations with a three game winning streak.

However, the last two weeks have seen the shares become decimated by an apparent over valuation of the current assets. This has resulted in a net loss of 74 points over the past two weeks. The losses were the worst in the share’s history.

“I had some hope in the changes,” said a Rider Owner, “Once we got rid of an underperforming middle manager and replaced him with the old manager, I thought that, yes we can have a successful future immediately.

“However, all that hope in the changes we wanted have blown up in our faces. The new guy is very much like the old guy. I feel like we’ve been duped into believing something that was ultimately just hype.”

While Rider Shares entitle the owner to first dibs on any Rider home playoff game in the future, they have no real intrinsic value as much as it is symbolic. However, they do come with a piece of paper that declares the shareholder as an “owner”. Also, the shareholder can purchase Rider jerseys with a special “Owner” crest on them. The shares do not give the owner any real voting power on decisions made within the organization.

“Essentially, I’ve spent money on shares to get the first chance to spend more money on something when it first comes available.” said a Rider Owner, “That makes me cooler than the other Rider Fans.

“But, I have to remind everyone that, with such ownership, comes much responsibility and added stress. I lay awake at night after every Rider loss wondering how this is going to affect my bottom line. I worry for my and my family’s future every time I see a bad snap over the quarterback’s head. Every broken leg, every dropped ball, every fumble and interception for a touchdown gives me that added stress.

“I’m an owner afterall.”

Rider Shares are not expected to increase in value for the rest of the fiscal year. In fact, their current projections are for an out-of-the-playoffs penny stock value.
